For as long as I can remember I've been fascinated by light and the different forms and colors it can assume. I have spent a great deal of time studying it in both it's natural and artificial forms. Whether it's being used to illuminate performances or simply filtering down through the forest canopy I am awestruck by its ability to influence human emotions through color, texture, intensity and angle. 

I am inspired by artists like James Turrell who's works challenge our perception of light and seeing through careful use of constructed elements, projection, light, and perspective. In my own work I strive to bring the audience a sense of inspiration and awe by creating environments that are supportive of the performers while having a depth, beauty, and life of their own.
